  Extremely disappointing experience — poor workmanship and no accountability<br><br>We purchased hardwood flooring from Michael and also hired him to install, sand, and finish the floors. Before hiring him, he promised us that the work would be done properly and even showed us the expensive equipment he said he would use to sand the floors.<br><br>Unfortunately, the actual result was extremely disappointing. The finished floors were not smooth, the stain/finish was visibly uneven, and there was a noticeable dark spot in every room. The color variation was so obvious that it was immediately apparent that the floors had not been properly finished.<br><br>What was even more concerning was that Michael’s own worker, who actually performed the sanding and finishing, told us that Michael had rushed him to complete the job. The entire 1,500-square-foot installation, sanding, and finishing was completed in only two days, which was clearly not enough time to produce the quality of work we were promised.<br><br>When we contacted Michael and asked him to come inspect the floors, he came to look at the work and told us that “it’s not that bad” and that the dark patches would fade. He refused to provide any meaningful solution or offer to correct the workmanship. His position was essentially that the job was finished and that we had already paid him in full.<br><br>After that, getting him to respond became extremely difficult. He stopped answering our calls. On multiple occasions when we went back to the store to ask for a solution to the problem, he told us he would call us with a solution, but he never followed up.<br><br>The biggest issue is not simply that we received poor-quality workmanship—it is the complete lack of accountability afterward. Once he had been paid, he showed little interest in addressing the problems with the work.<br><br>Based on our experience, we would not recommend this store or Michael for flooring installation or finishing.   Absolutely scam! Be extremely careful, Michael the owner will open the box of beautiful wood floor pieces then after you open the second and third box you will see the scared ugly knot on almost every each piece, he would claim it’s Bruce products, but on the box printed Spanish wood. Once you realized it, he refused to refund, I had to pay 3 boxes of the wood, not even used! Flushing floor is a not legit business, don’t expect it’s Costco, Home Depot or Lowe’s! It’s a pure scam. Will report to BBB.
