Appointment scheduling: Check in at dock 6. Appointments sometimes not honored — arrive early or risk wait. First-come-first-served basis typical. Some reports of 3-4 hour waits even with appointment. Check-in process: Paper log sign-in at window, then staff assist. Seating available inside. Must have exact confirmation number — other pickup numbers won't work. Loading/unloading: Highly variable. Range: 25 minutes to 3+ hours. Many reports of fast service (1-1.5 hours common), but enough slow reports to expect unpredictability. Faster in mornings. Drop-and-hook available. Staff attitude: Mixed. Dockworkers consistently described as fast, courteous, professional. Front desk/window staff issues cited multiple times — attitude problems, priority treatment perception based on ethnicity, smoke breaks causing delays, lack of respect toward drivers. Safety concern: Drivers required to stand on dock during forklift operations with no designated safe area. Multiple reports of unsafe conditions. Parking: Ample lot space. Street parking available (Ambassador Street area). Overnight parking available at some times — confirm first. Facilities: Restrooms available and clean. Seating area inside. Ryder building (watch for multiple Ryder-labeled buildings at location). Blind side note: If doors above 30, use normal backing instead of blind side unless day cab.

Rude - definitely not a friendly attitude. I tried to pick up a load, but the clerk couldn’t find that pickup number. He rather rudely told me to ask the broker for another number. I called the broker, who contacted the customer, and I received an email from the customer confirming that this was indeed the correct number. I tried to check in again, but the guy didn’t seem to care at all about the email I showed him. I went to their other warehouse across the street - around the corner, and the attitude there was completely different. The lady found the load, confirmed the original address, apologized for the inconvenience, and asked me to go back and try another number that she provided me with. Meanwhile, the broker had also asked the customer to call them, and when I returned, the not-so-helpful employee grabbed the check-in form and assigned me a dock door right away. It took me "just an hour" to bounce back and forth.... I'm assumung that was just a bad day for him today, hopefully you will have a better experience...
