Facility info

Appointment scheduling & check-in: Early arrivals face long lines at guard shack — can wait 30+ minutes even if arriving 1+ hour early. Official check-in window is 45 minutes before appointment only. Door assignments come quickly at gate. Get paperwork/bills typically takes another 1-4 hours after unload completion. Unload times: Highly inconsistent. Ranges from 30 minutes to 8 hours. Most common: 2-4 hours for unload plus counting. Some loads take 5-6 hours minimum regardless of size. Appears warehouse staff moves at variable pace — efficiency differs by shift/day. Safety requirements: Safety vest mandatory from gate. Regular shoes required — no crocs or slippers allowed. Closed-toe footwear enforced. Parking: No onsite overnight parking. Street parking available outside facility (dirt area north of building and around corner) with no amenities. Some spots noted as available but limited. Facility experience: Guard staff and front office staff generally friendly and professional. Yard has good maneuvering space and clear door signage. Restroom facilities and driver lounge with vending available. Warehouse uses reefer units for cooling — trailers sit in heat during unloads. Overall pattern: This is a slow facility with unpredictable service. Guard line congestion is consistent problem, especially early mornings. Unload speed varies dramatically — can't reliably predict times. If you must use it, arrive well before appointment time and plan for extended wait.

I would like to share my experience in the hope that Walmart management can improve the check-in process for drivers.
Overall, my experience was positive. The night shift staff were friendly, respectful, and helpful. However, I had an issue with the morning check-in process that I believe should be addressed. My appointment was at 10:30 AM, and I arrived at the facility at 10:26 AM. Due to a long line of trucks waiting to check in, I didn't reach the guard post until 10:45 AM. The older gentleman working the morning shift at the guard post told me I was late. I politely explained that I had arrived before my appointment time and had simply been waiting in line. I even showed him a photo proving when I arrived, but he still insisted that I was late.I also saw the same situation happen to two other drivers ahead of me, so this did not appear to be an isolated incident. Drivers should not be considered late when they arrive on time but are delayed by long check-in lines. That is beyond the driver's control.
I respectfully ask Walmart management to remind the morning guard staff to consider the actual arrival time of drivers rather than the time they reach the guard post. A little more understanding, professionalism, and fairness would make the check-in process much better for everyone.
