  Spent over a month trying to get an appointment for my husband. There was always some documentation that was missing or they couldn’t get a hold of. They clearly don’t want business.

  We were lied to upon arrival when we asked if the correct type of provider was available for our son. If they had been honest and said "no", we'd have gone to St. Pete's. Provider needed very strong urging by us to complete the lab needed to let us know what is going on with our son. Otherwise, we all just sat in a hallway for 5 hours, met with an outside professional that provides free services that we have worked with in the past, and then got a $4,500.00 bill from Capital Medical Center. Their charting has multiple inaccuracies and mistypes. Months later, another $407.00 bill from the "Emergency Care Physicians PLLC". All essentially for a blood draw. Apparently, the providers invoice separately from the hospital. They don't tell you this upon arrival. Unethical and very likely illegal billing, as this appears to break the "no surprises act". And yes, this is all after insurance. Be aware, ask questions and look closely at all invoicing.<br>On the upside, the security guards were very kind.

  Dr Christopher Schwartz is excellent. He actually listens to what his patients have to say. Remarkable. Five stars for him.<br><br>The MultiCare organization, I am less impressed with. They seem to treat their patients as if they are a cog in the machine, or a product on an assembly line.<br><br>There are good people in the organization, but I don't like being treated like a product on an assembly line. Two stars for the organization.

  I was in er for 2 days after extensive spinal surgery. I needed a social worker and the one they provided saw me once and assured me they could handle all insurance paperwork needed. I had to call my insurance company from the hallway(because that's where they kept me) and get the process going because they gave the wrong information. They kept me on a stretcher that was intended for temporary use for the entire time I was there. They were so very,very understaffed that to get any help I had to yell down the hallway and the wait was outrageous. I was told they don't handle complex spinal surgeries or even dialysis. They had no idea how to help me even stay comfortable or relieve any of my pain. I was so very disappointed and won't be going back. An er with only eight beds and a skeleton staff has no business calling themselves a comprehensive care facility. I won't be going back in the future.
