Walmart Distribution Center

Facility info

Wait times consistently excessive — 3.5–5 hours standard for unload — Some reports of 6–8+ hours — Paperwork delays frequently cited as bottleneck — One exception: early arrival (1 hr before appointment) resulted in 1.5 hr turnaround Appointments — Required — Don't check in more than 30 minutes early (may extend wait) — Early arrival doesn't guarantee faster processing Operations — Drop and hook with live unload component — Trailer availability sometimes limited despite dispatcher assignments — Guard shack handles check-in Facility — Ample parking available — Guard shack and check-in staff attitude inconsistent — some drivers report rudeness, others praise professionalism — Entrance easy to miss off expressway; missing it adds 40 minutes round-trip Bottom line Plan for significant downtime. This is a Walmart DC known for slow processing. Negotiate rates accordingly. Avoid early check-in.
