APPOINTMENT & CHECK-IN Appointments required. Can check in up to 12 hours early, but receiving doesn't start until 5pm—don't waste time checking in too early. No earlier than 12 hours before appointment. Guard shack check-in process. OPERATIONS Live unload. Text-based workflow: receive text for gate, then text for door assignment, then text when unloading complete. Drop BOLs at designated office before going to door. Unload times highly variable—ranges from 1 hour to 6+ hours; multiple reports of 4+ hour waits on light loads. Paperwork delays common; some drivers wait 1+ hours after unloading completes for paperwork. YARD & MANEUVERING Staging/overnight parking available but can be limited. Tight yard with heavy traffic flow and congestion. Plenty of maneuvering room at dock doors (back side has more space). Dock door signage/numbering confusing—hard to locate assigned doors. Entrance for external vendors on Windfern Rd (separate from employee entrance). STAFF & ATTITUDE Mixed experiences. Guard shack staff generally professional and courteous. Receiving office staff reported as rude, dismissive, and sometimes unhelpful in several reviews. Yard jockeys need better training per one driver. Security inconsistent. FACILITY NOTES For bakery loads: do NOT break seal or load will likely be rejected. Overnight parking available but spaces are tight. This location slower than other H-E-B facilities (Temple, Austin, San Antonio reports faster).
