Operations Multi-checkpoint check-in process (guard shack → staging area → second guard shack → office) — convoluted but required Appointment system exists but enforcement is inconsistent; some drivers turned away for being early, others accepted; late arrivals may be rejected (30+ min late documented) Lumper fee required — pay after unloading before getting paperwork Unloading typically 30 min–2 hours once docked; paperwork wait is the real bottleneck (1–4+ hours documented after unload complete) Facility Experience No overnight parking; paid lot across street ($10–$15/night), rest areas 10 miles away Porta-potties only; one review mentioned clean restroom but this is rare Staff friendliness varies wildly — some very professional and polite, others described as rude and dismissive Parking situation during paperwork wait is dangerous; limited staging area, trucks backing in multiple directions simultaneously, security enforces lot restrictions aggressively
Driver reviews
The new check in process, staging area is absolutely ridiculous. After checking in at the guard shack you go to a staging area to the right where they have trucks line up in rows. There were trucks that was 3rd in line, had trucks on both sides, and behind them, they were given a door, but there was no way for them to get out because they were blocked in so they had to wait until other trucks moved. They did this to get the trucks in off the main road, but trucks are still lined up all the way down the main road. Then other drivers just park anywhere and everywhere after they get unloaded waiting on paperwork. Out of all the places I deliver to, all of the Aldi dcs seems to be the most unorganized and chaotic.
