Facility info

Appointment scheduling: Don't arrive early—facility is firm on appointment times. Staging area available after 6pm for next-day appointments. Check-in process requires multiple walks between guard shack, parking, and office with safety vest required. Live load/unload: Live unload only. Expect 6–12+ hours for unloading (3–20 pallets takes same time regardless). Capstone lumper service handles unloading; fees $140–$280+ for standard loads. Slow pace is the norm, not the exception. Wait times after unload: Additional 2–3 hours typical waiting for paperwork after lumper fee paid. Receiving staff slow to process bills. Communication poor—facility won't update drivers on delays. Overnight parking: Available in staging area. Allows drivers to rest before/after delivery. Check-in/checkout: Gate entrance on Speaker Road. Stop at guard shack for placard and paperwork, park in staging, walk back with completed forms. Multiple trips required between staging, receiving (Door 42), and lumper office. Long walks, poor lighting, no marked crosswalks. Staff: Security/guard consistently described as friendly and professional. Receiving office and check-in staff frequently reported as rude, dismissive, uncommunicative. Lumper service (Capstone) considered overpriced. Facility conditions: Staging/bullpen parking available. Bathrooms mentioned rarely; one review noted only port-a-potty. Safety vest required. Yard conditions not detailed in reviews.

I’m leaving this review because experiences like this leave a lasting negative impression on drivers. It feels very clear that truck drivers are not treated with the level of respect we deserve. I arrived and followed all instructions, including wearing my safety vest and checking in properly. The process itself is straightforward. You check in, provide your number, receive a link to pay the lumper, and then wait for a call letting you know your paperwork is ready so you can leave the dock. The issue started when I was called from the guard shack while I was staged in the waiting area. The call did not properly come through on my phone. It either rang briefly or was blocked. I made it clear to staff that if that happens, they should simply call me back. I was present, alert, and watching my phone. Instead of addressing that reasonably, one staff member became unnecessarily confrontational and told me to change the settings on my personal phone. That is not an appropriate request. My phone is my responsibility, and I am not obligated to adjust it to accommodate a single missed call. A simple callback would have resolved the situation. The interaction escalated in tone and created an uncomfortable and unprofessional environment. The situation was then carried over to the lumper staff, which only added more tension instead of resolving the issue. I will say there was one employee who remained professional and respectful, and I appreciate that. Unfortunately, the overall experience was overshadowed by poor communication and a lack of respect. Situations like this reflect a bigger issue in how drivers are treated at certain facilities. Professionalism and basic respect go a long way, and that standard was not consistently met here.
