Facility info

Drop and hook preferred — most loads preloaded and ready. Typical turnaround under 30 minutes once through check-in. Live loads = extended waits (6-12+ hours reported); avoid if possible. Check-in procedure — Guard shack at main gate. Slide tandems all the way to rear before entering or you'll be turned away. Trailer must be visibly clean (small pallet chips can trigger rejection and Blue Beacon washout requirement). Show ID and paperwork. Gate staff give exact drop/pickup spot numbers and instructions. Gate delays — Check-in line can be slow or backed up depending on day. Wait times at gate window vary widely — some report quick processing, others cite lazy/unprofessional gate staff. Night shift reportedly less friendly. Inconsistent experience. Wait for loaded trailer — If load isn't ready, bobtail to nearby Pilot (1.5–2.5 miles away) or Blue Beacon across from Pilot. They'll call when ready; can typically drop off day early and pick up next day. Overnight parking — None on-site. Pilot and Blue Beacon nearby. Facilities — Driver's lounge with microwave, vending, clean bathrooms. Ample yard space, clean pavement, easy to maneuver and back. Lot numbering worn/hard to read. Staff attitude — Mostly professional and polite; free candy/treats at guard shack. Some gate staff reported rude or dismissive, especially night shift. Live unload reality — Multiple drivers report 8–12 hour waits. Slow dock processing. No visibility into unload progress once trailer dropped. Not recommended for time-sensitive loads.

Ill be honest, if your picking up and dropping off deliveries at any Hershey facility, your lucky. These guys always have my trailer ready, and the drop off of loaded trailers is even easier. Keep up the smooth operations Hershey and thank you for valuing my time as a driver.

If you’re picking up a refrigerated load, I’d recommend getting a washout and filling up on fuel. It’ll avoid any check-in issues. You’ll pull up to the gate where a guard comes out to check you in and look inside the trailer. Pull up to the lift bar and walk up to the building for your door assignment. Drop trailer in dock, doors closed, and tandems slid back. You can park onsite or go to one of the nearby truckstops to wait for a call that your load is ready. My appointment was at 11:00. I arrived at 10:30 and got the call my trailer was ready at 13:00. Hooked back up to my trailer and drove up to the guard shack for my paperwork. Was rolling by 13:25. My weight was only 34,000lbs so I can’t comment on how well they distribute the load.

I had an outstanding experience at FSC Hershey MWDC on May 31, 2026, around noon. From the moment I arrived, the receiving process was handled with professionalism, efficiency, and respect. Facilities that operate at this level deserve recognition because they make a driver’s day significantly easier. A special thank you to Emily and Orion from the receiving staff. Both were professional, courteous, and extremely helpful throughout the process. They communicated clearly, treated drivers with respect, and ensured everything moved smoothly from check-in to unloading. Their positive attitude and willingness to help created a welcoming atmosphere that is not always easy to find in this industry. What impressed me most was the organization and teamwork. The receiving operation was well-coordinated, efficient, and handled with attention to detail. There were no unnecessary delays, and the process moved at a pace that showed respect for drivers’ time and schedules. The facility was clean, organized, and professionally managed. Everyone I encountered demonstrated a strong work ethic and a commitment to customer service. It’s clear that the team takes pride in maintaining a smooth and efficient operation. Overall, this was an excellent experience. My sincere gratitude to Emily, Orion, and the entire receiving team for their professionalism, courtesy, and hard work. Their efforts reflect positively on the facility and make FSC Hershey MWDC a location I would gladly return to. I highly recommend this facility to fellow drivers and carriers looking for a professional and efficient receiving experience. KD

Loading at this place every week (live load ). TQL is the broker. You will be overweight if they say that the load is around 43000 lbs. they do not take in consideration the weigh of the pallets. A 43000 lbs load is going to be 45000 lbs. So, if the broker say 43000, my suggestion is not to take the load. It’s too much trouble. You get here, wait in line at the gate to check in, then you drop the trailer and then you either park bobtail on the property or you can leave. They will call you when the trailer is ready. If you are overweight it’s the same process. Ignorants. They know that you will be overweight but they don’t care. If you don’t get on the scale it’s your problem. Just got back with my scale ticket, my total weight is 82280. I can scale empty 44000 lbs. Coming back to the same shipper on April 13, load for TQL. The shipper loading everything on the floor. I got to Phoenix for a midnight delivery and the receiver refused the load. When you pick up this load you back up with the doors closed, they load your trailer, they close the doors and seal the trailer and you don’t know how they loaded you. Big surprise at delivery when your load is not good.
