Pilgrim's Plant
330 Co-Op Dr, Timberville, VA 22853
Facility info
Call ahead with load confirmation — staff won't honor appointments without ready inventory. Expect lies about timing ("we'll have you loaded when you arrive"). 4–10 hour load times are standard — some loads done in 1.5–2 hours, but plan for overnight waits. Not a matter of load size. Tight backing area — limited maneuvering space between trailers, especially at door 8. Cramped, bumpy yard conditions. Staff mixed bag — shipping office personnel generally polite and helpful, but receiving/dock crew moves at glacial pace. Some rude employees. No restrooms at dock — bring supplies for long waits. Facility has overnight parking available. Nasty conditions — chicken blood and water on ground, foul smell, dusty. Safety hazard for manual loading. Drop and hook available — can drop trailer early and pick up loaded one next day if you time it right. Truck route: Use I-40 access via 800 (left turn), avoid Memorial Park St. A and Walmart approach (no truck routes, limited turnaround).
Driver reviews
The workers at the plant will walk and drive behind semi trucks while they’re in motion. This has been a common thing happening at almost all pilgrim facilities that I’ve been to and it should be apart of their training to NOT do this, keep their distance or walk a different path away from the truck docks. They’ll continue to allow this until someone gets hurt
Terrible place. Everything takes forever—loading takes ages—and there are absolutely no facilities for drivers.
Absolutely the worst. Waited 15hrs to get loaded. Best to drop Trailer and go hang out in town.
If you’re a dry van delivery receiving is on the left as soon as you cross the tracks. 2 docks if one is open just back into it bring your paperwork inside. Lots of pedestrians
