Safeway DC- Auburn
500 41ST St SE, Auburn, WA 98001
Facility info
Glacially slow unloads — typical 3–4 hours minimum, often 5–6+ hours for modest loads. Lumpers are the bottleneck. Lumper fees are predatory and inconsistent — get quotes in writing. Multiple reports of bait-and-switch pricing and fraud allegations. Check-in is organized but paperwork gets lost; drivers eat hours on the clock waiting for BOLs. Overnight parking available and spacious, but staging lot before gate has restricted access. Bathrooms exist (behind security shack, not porta-potties). Food truck on-site most mornings. Staff attitude wildly inconsistent — some friendly and professional, others dismissive and rude. Facility condition ranges from clean to disorganized mess.

Worst receiver ever! 8 hr already and still waiting for my paper! One stars for overnight parking.
Super easy check in. All digital, just scan the QR code at the trailer check it fill out the check-in process with your PO number and when they have a door ready for you they will call you and text you the door number... then once you open your doors and back in, go turn your paperwork into the lumper station. The lumper will send you a text to pay the fees. Either way don't pull out until they call you and let you know your paperwork is ready to be picked up.... safe travels.... if you get there a little early they have a staging lot where you can chill after you check in....
9 pallets 4 hours it’s crazy!!!!!!!!!
3/24/2026: Last time I was here, things went great. Today, not so much. Checked in using the QR Code, was assigned door 318. Checked in with the lady at the gate, followed her directions to the dock. As I'm approaching, someone else pulled into my door, so I went to the driver check in and explained. They told me to dock at 320. I did. Then they told me that I was on the wrong side of the building and to check in at 460. I did that, and the ladies on that side were very condescending and dismissive. They wanted me to leave and check in again. There's two problems with that. First, they had me cut the seal when I docked at 320, second their system won't allow me to check in again because I already did using this PO#. They also refused to give me a number for my dispatcher to reach out to to get this mess sorted out. I hope to never deliver here again.
