  Very unprofessional supervisors located at the Destrehan location. Called to confirm employment regarding a custody case, and he started ordering lunch & completely ignored the fact that I asked for the HRs phone number. Once I told him I would call back with my case worker and lawyer and ended the call, said supervisor called back from his personal phone number to argue and restate that fact the he wasn’t giving it to me because “that’s not the way you do things”. He is a friend of the person I was asking about, grew up in the same neighborhood for many years but he should be demoted for his conduct. I checked Louisiana law. I don’t see a statute that makes it illegal for you, as the other parent, simply to call his employer and ask about his employment while explaining that the reason is a child-support matter. Louisiana law actually recognizes employment information as relevant to child-support proceedings: parties generally must provide the court with verified income information and documentation of earnings. With that being said, I know he isn’t obligated to give me any information but his conduct should be evaluated. As a person in that kind of position, I wouldn’t want someone working for me with that kind of attitude and smug demeanor just because of his positioning. Hopefully the next time a woman calls, it won’t be met with such malice and disrespect.
