LOADING TIMES Expect 5-7 hours minimum for pickups. Many reports of 7-8+ hours. Some loads done in 30-45 minutes or under 2 hours, but these are exceptions. Highly inconsistent — same appointment time can result in vastly different wait times depending on the day. APPOINTMENTS & CHECK-IN Gate doesn't open until 8am. Don't arrive earlier or you'll be blocking the street. No early appointments available — all scheduled after lunch per recent reports. Showing up on time doesn't guarantee prompt service. Being early may get you in faster some days, other days you'll still wait hours. Staff sometimes takes breaks (lunch, safety meetings, smoking breaks) during scheduled load times. FACILITY & PARKING Docking is tight. Backing in is difficult when trucks are at the dock. No overnight parking available at the facility. Pilot truck stop is 5 minutes away if you need to wait for hours or park overnight. Tight yard conditions make maneuvering challenging. OPERATIONS Live load operation. Only 2 people loading in some instances. Staff sometimes unable or unwilling to provide status updates on load timing. Limited restroom access for drivers per some reports. STAFF & ATTITUDE Mixed reports. Some describe staff as friendly and professional; others report rude, unprofessional, or dismissive behavior from guards and shipping personnel. Guard at gate has been described as curt and unwelcoming. DETENTION PAY Broker (Landstar) reportedly only pays detention after 4 hours. Confirm terms before accepting load. UNLOADING Unloading tankers takes about 90 minutes with lab work. MDI unloads in about 1 hour.
