APPOINTMENT SCHEDULING & CHECK-IN Appointments required and necessary. Arrive early — staff will post your door assignment at receiving. Check in at office between doors 4 & 5. Don't arrive more than 30 minutes before appointment. Staff will assign dock door immediately upon check-in. DOCKING Very tight backing situation. 33–39 feet from truck front to curb. Requires precision and patience. Must disconnect tractor from trailer before leaving — next driver won't be able to back in otherwise. 90-degree entry only. Second entrance recommended (between Dawn Foods and US Foods building). If multiple trucks already docked, space becomes significantly more constrained. Experienced drivers can manage it; newer drivers should expect difficulty. Facility layout not ideal for semis. UNLOAD SPEED Fast. Typically 30 minutes or less from door assignment to completion. STAFF Friendly, helpful, and cordial. Will lock/unlock air lines. Call button on silver box outside door for assistance. Generally responsive and professional. One report of poor driver behavior from a staff member. PARKING No dedicated overnight parking. Very limited lot space. Can park on slight hill against curb temporarily. Alternative: park in street turning lane with hazards on, walk to receiving to check in first. Do not park more than 30 minutes before appointment. FACILITY HOURS Opens 7:20–7:30 AM. GENERAL Not designed for easy semi access. Tight conditions make this difficult for drivers with limited backing experience. Disconnecting tractors from trailers between dock usage is critical for facility flow.

My experience with this company was totally different even though after reading reviews from other drivers. Tough to back into door ( limited space and location) staff were very friendly and cordial. Getting a door and unloading was fast and ontime. Please, am not here to hope anyone but there was a young man ( staff) I met there, very helpful and I think he unloaded me. That guy needs to be paid more even though I don’t know how much his been paid.<br>Note drivers. if you are coming here with a sleeper…, please come through the second entrance just past the main entrance between DAWN and US foods. Pull forward slightly across the main road and back into doors. Remember to take your time and that’s why we are professional drivers . Shipping/receiving office is between door 4 & 5, I won’t advise overnight parking but I can sure say “come early and you will go early” Thanks Dawn foods.
Truckers, you want to enter where this blue line is. There’s a sign that says Dawn Shipping Receiving, it looks like it would take you to US foods but you enter there, park before the docks, check in and wait there for a door. Small parking lot would not come more than 30 minutes before appt.
This place is not for Semi!
