Facility info

Wait times: Highly variable and unpredictable. Most common: 8-12 hours. Documented waits up to 44 hours. Some report quick turnarounds (20 mins to 2 hours), but these are exceptions. Drop and hook typically faster than live load. Production delays are the norm — loads often not ready by appointment time. Drop and hook vs. live load: This is a drop and hook facility. You drop your trailer, leave the lot, and return when called. Some report getting loaded ready on or near DDT; others face extended waits. Check-in procedure: Report to first guard shack, then to shipping office. Must have 9-digit pickup number. Reefer fuel tank must be 3/4 full minimum or you'll be turned denied entry. Empty trailers must be clean and washed out. Slide tandems to rear at guard shack upon entry. Phone contact: Unreliable. Multiple reports of being on hold 1+ hour with no answer. Don't rely on calling to check load status — show up in person if critical. Overnight parking: Available on-site at secondary entrance/drop lot. Also Phillips 66 shell station ~1.5-2 miles away with paid parking ($15) and CAT scale. Bathrooms: Shipping/break room available 24/7. One report of porta potty only in sub-zero temps — conflicting info across reviews. Overweight loads: Common problem. Loads frequently exceed axle weight limits. You may need to take trailer to nearby scale, return with ticket, and wait hours for reweighting. Budget extra time and frustration. Staff: Generally friendly and helpful on the dock and in shipping office. Guard station staff professional. Phone staff and one billing clerk reported as unhelpful or dishonest. Facility conditions: Currently undergoing lot construction (as of Oct 2024) with tight maneuvering. Tight parking in some areas. No-parking zones everywhere in surrounding area — do not attempt street or nearby lot parking. Shift changes: May coincide with delays in reaching anyone by phone. Bottom line: Plan for a long wait. This is a production-driven facility, not a time-conscious one

This place is absolutely horrible!! Tyson needs to do a better job with getting loads out. So I checked in yesterday morning and they told me the load had a completed by time of midnight, so I get up this morning expecting to get my load and be on my way just to be told; no the cut off time for the load being ready is actually by midnight tonight. Well this load has 2 stops and the 1st stop has a delivery appointment for 7/1 5am and it's almost 800 miles away!! Needless to say the 1st stop will be late and it's because Tyson can't or won't do their job and get these loads out on time. And this isn't the first time. I come here often and it's happened literally every single time I've been here but once!! Do better Tyson!!
