  Emergency room? More like a suffer in pain and possibly die room. Was waiting to be seen and talked to someone else waiting. Found out she had had surgery that day in the same hospital, was having complications from said surgery and was still waiting. Went in for a known condition but it had gotten worse and was in need of immediate attention. I learned quickly, you're not gonna get it at this place. Went from one of the best hospital to a total S show....avoid at all costs if you value your life.

  The mama sitting across from me 24 weeks pregnant is highly indicative for thrombosis. She is in duress which is never good for a fetus. ER staff have kept her SITTING, with worsening symptoms, NO d-dimer, no BP. No nothing. This woman is crying in pain. Every moment she is in duress is a dangerous moment for her and her unborn child. It's awful to watch. I have tried to get staff attention. NOT OKAY.

  I have gone to this hospital a few times now since moving here for my emergencies regarding my rare autoimmune disease and had been directed by Columbia Liver Disease to get labs done when having poor symptoms. I even had my Liver Biopsy here! The Biopsy went great… but EVERYTIME I visit the ER I am dismissed and treated poorly. The nurses who work in this unit are unkind and treat you terribly when you speak up for your patient rights. I waited 14 hours last night UNSEEN with two highly dangerous conditions PBC/AIH unable to keep down my medications for 3 days throwing up food/ drinks and my life saving medication treatments whole. I wasn’t brought back to until the 14th hour. Then was ignored until I requested a social worker. I asked repeatedly for a social worker and one nurse interrupted me stating “there is no social worker this is the ER” I told her that’s Illgeal and against patient rights. I am an advocate for NYS and an incoming Law Student. I know my rights. How dare you treat patients this way! When I stood up for myself the nurse called security on me to spoil my records, I told security this was retaliation for me standing my ground on requesting a social worker. After the 16th hour I was finally seen by a friendly nurse and PA and seen by a social worker after I contacted the UPSTAIRS main line to complain and ask for a supervisor. ADDITIONALLY all night they left another patient with a oxygen tank for over 12 hours that ran out of oxygen next to me in the ER. I had to advocate for her — That is absolutely unacceptable, She has COPD. She should’ve been in there way before anybody else. Yet they choose to take QUICK cases, mental health cases, because St Peter’s prefers fast money instead of caring for patients. I will NEVER go here again after what I witnessed last night. The social workers and staff refused to give me the nurses name who refused my social worker request as well, they know that’s illegal. The nurses are fraudulently documenting in cha

  Went to ER for a minor issue, one that I new would not put near the head of the line so the wait to be seen was long. OK with this I expected as much. However both the nurse and the doctor were great. Sorry I don't have the nurses name very professional and very skillful.<br>The doctor however was so understanding and helpful, she was Dr. Chanel Thomas see gave me more information in ten minutes then I received in three visit to my doctor's office. Following her advise my issue was resolved the next day. So very grateful for her. Thank you Dr Thomas your awesome.
