  IKEA DC. This time my loaded trailer was ready at this location, so it was an easy drop and hook. Scale on site so I didn’t have to go down the street to the CAT scale at the Petro. During previous visits to this place, I was informed that my loaded trailer was at another building a few miles away. I was given the address and easily drove over to that building. However, at the gate at the original building they refused to open the gate in order for me to turn around and exit. I had to back up back onto the street, regardless of whether there were other trucks waiting behind me, then do a U-turn in the dead end cul-de-sac nearby. This is ridiculous!! I’d like to have a conversation with whatever executive in his cozy office somewhere made this asinine decision. Extremely inconvenient and potentially dangerous for drivers, other people and property. If you are checking in to this place- DO NOT PULL INTO THE DRIVEWAY NEXT TO THE GATE. Park on the street and walk up to the security gate to check in, in case you need to drive to the other location to pick up your loaded trailer.

  I love Ikea, I'm loyal to Ikea, I have recently tried to use their click and collect program. It takes a while to understand how to use it, but if you order online, it makes it easy to just show up at the back of the store and they'll load your car with you with your items. The communication on text and email could be better so I'm not left Guessing as a customer and just going in blind Faith that my order is going to be ready. As for delivery, I have to say that Ikea has failed me twice now. I ordered a couch to be delivered to my home. I live 140 mi away from Ikea and I don't have a truck. Twice, the trucking company they use has failed to deliver my couch even though they called and confirmed the time that they would deliver it to my house. I called in multiple times to Ikea customer service to let them know that their trucking company is really failing them. Also, once you place your order for delivery to your house, you cannot cancel it. The only way to cancel it is to be at the house and refuse delivery. I find that complicated. I've tried to call the trucking company and cancel the order. At the end of the day.. I ended up finding a friend who had a van so I picked up the sofa by myself. It was faster. It's been a month since I ordered the sofa and it's still not been delivered. I have to wait for it, I refuse delivery, and I'll get my refund on that sofa later down the road. That's frustrating. I will likely dispute charges on my credit card to get the refund faster.
