TRUCK ENTRANCE. Walmart DC #8851
4505 FL-524, Cocoa, FL 32926
Operator: Walmart
Facility info
Operations Drop and hook facility Appointment scheduling required; early arrival typically not accepted (no more than 1 hour before appointment) Door availability can be delayed 2-3 hours after appointment time Unload times highly variable: 20 minutes to 6+ hours reported. Most common range 1-2 hours for full loads, but 5+ hour waits not uncommon Gate check-in staff generally professional and accommodating Facility Experience No overnight parking at facility; Pilot truck stop nearby Bobtail parking available but enforcement inconsistent Staff attitude overwhelmingly positive in majority of reviews; gate personnel and receiving crew consistently praised Facility is clean and well-organized Bathroom availability not mentioned Some reports of inconsistent service quality — appears to depend on shift/day Notable Issues Significant inconsistency in unload speed between visits and shifts Some drivers report facility was faster in past, now slower Late arrivals (1-1.5 hours) generally accommodated without major pushback A few reports of unreasonably long door times (5-6+ hours) for small loads (5-8 pallets) Bottom Line Reputation as one of the better Walmart DCs in the region, but recent reviews suggest declining consistency. Performance appears heavily dependent on which shift/crew you encounter. Budget 2-3 hours minimum; be prepared for longer waits.
Driver reviews
As with most all walmart facilities, a truck driver goes in to unload at these places. And there's never a lumper fee. However, you gonna sit there anywhere from 4-6 or seven hours.Which is crazy? It kills a driver's drive time.Their shift time and takes away money out of their pocket.Walmart, you could do so much better than this
Very slow place getting unloaded six hours to get unloaded the slowest Walmart I’ve ever been to
