Facility info

Appointment scheduling: Check in 30 mins before appointment only—showing up earlier gets complaints. Doors assigned immediately upon check-in. Opening 0600, but early check-in available 0344–0350. Live load/drop: Drop trailer at door, disconnect, park in small holding lot or street while unloaded. Rehook and process paperwork before leaving. Wait times: Highly variable—ranges from 30 mins to 8 hours. Many reports of 4–6 hour waits despite appointment times. Late arrivals charged $200+ fees. Safety/yard requirements: Tandems slid all the way forward mandatory. Tight backing, limited space. Two building sides—dry freight (north) and reefer (south)—use correct entrance. Watch for parked trailers blocking maneuverability. Overnight parking: None on-site. Street parking risks $100 tickets from local police. No restroom facilities available—use neighbor building or arrive prepared. Staff attitude: Mixed. Friendly window staff noted, but reports of rudeness, attitude problems, and workers outside smoking instead of helping. Yard conditions: Very small holding lot. Congested, tight backing. Limited space if multiple trucks present. Curb hazard noted. Facility described as "nasty" by some. Extra fees: Pallet fees charged before loading. Lumper relay codes may be for wrong building side—verify before paying.

I went to Darden Direct. Looks like they share the building with Lineage. The guy in the shipping office was coming out to try to help guiding trucks into position, open seals. If everyone stages up and goes into doors one at a time then it works. Of course, Super Truckers will cut in front and screw everyone over. It is tight but manageable. The infamous curb in front taunts you and wants your bumper. Cops showed up ticketing trucks on the street. Your mileage may vary.

This place sucks, for starters, not much space for trucks, people who show up early line the sidewalk in front of the space you need to back, and if you show up more than 30 minutes early they complain you are early. But if you show up late because of Chicago traffic they reject you, you are damned if you do or don’t at this place
