Facility info

Appointment scheduling: Most drops have loads ready by DDT (Drop Dead Time). Call before arriving. Some waits of 10-15+ hours even with appointment. Highly inconsistent load readiness. Live load vs drop and hook: Drop and hook loads typically in/out under 2 hours when ready. Live loads take 3-8+ hours average, sometimes much longer. Check-in: Must stop at guard shack first. Have 500# weight certificate ready if getting chicken before check-in or risk delays. Some security waits up to 40+ minutes. Safety: High-visibility vest required. Scale on site (in back) for loads over 36,000 lbs. Incoming empty reefers must be washed out clean and full of fuel. Wait times: Highly variable and unpredictable. Reports range from 1 hour to 24+ hours. Facility loads preloaded trailers for drivers not yet on site, causing extended waits for those present. Overnight parking: Bobtail parking available on hill inside/outside gate. Trailer drop lots available. No overnight parking for bobtails in some reports. Bathrooms: Inconsistent availability. Porta-johns only in some areas. No bathrooms in back parking lots. Not suitable for families. Yard conditions: Small, tight facility with poor layout. Gravel lots with potholes and rough conditions. Cramped backing areas. Difficult to navigate. Tight trailer parking. Poor visibility/dark in places. Staff: Generally friendly and helpful. Security guard and yard jockeys reported as nice. Shipping/receiving staff quality varies—some reports of poor communication and mix-ups with trailers. Facility condition: Old building, dusty, dirty, bad smell in some areas. Needs maintenance/remodeling. Not well-maintained grounds.

Frustrating. Tyson needs to put up signs especially for the scales and exits. Very tight if u need to turn around.
