Appointment scheduling: Appointments required. Receiving typically starts 4pm, lumpers don't begin until 4pm. Can check in up to 2 hours early (even on Sundays) but unloading won't start until appointment time or later. Don't arrive significantly before 3:30pm — will be turned away. Unload times: Typically 15 minutes to 1 hour for standard loads. Some full trailers run 1.5-2 hours. Generally fast operation. Live load operation: Uses lumpers. $70 lumper fee standard. Check-in procedures: Easy. Have driver's license ready. Go to assigned dock, then walk to dock one for lumper payment. Canadian drivers need entry number for security. No overnight parking — plan accordingly. Facility experience: Generally clean and organized. Restrooms available. Ample backing space but receiving/shipping area reported as very dark — difficult to back in, especially in rain. Line markings need repainting. Watch other trucks while backing. Staff attitude: Mixed. Day shift described as professional and courteous. Night shift receiving staff reported as short-tempered and unwelcoming. Security guards generally friendly. Wait times: Usually minimal if on schedule. If you arrive significantly early without appointment, expect to wait until 4pm or be turned away.

Wgmans unloading starts after 4pm no appointment required, 30/40 mins unloading!
It took two hours to unload but my trailer was floor loaded, so a slightly extended unload time is to be expected. Still, I was out in a reasonable amount of time and I was still able to make it to my next appointment without an issue. The guard and the office staff were all pleasant to deal with. I don't have any complaints.
One of the best places I’ve delivered to. They truly respect a truck driver’s time and work in a way you don’t see at most facilities. Whenever possible, I prefer delivering here. They usually take you up to two hours before your appointment, even on Sundays like in my case, although the lumpers only start at 4PM. Everyone is polite, helpful, and very friendly. I would give more stars if I could. I wish more places followed Wegmans’ example. It’s also one of my favorite markets where my family and I shop regularly.
