Walmart Distribution Center
3880 Southwest Blvd, Grove City, OH 43123
Facility info
Appointment required — check in earliest 1 hour before appointment time. No early arrivals (hard stop). Cannot show up more than 1 hour early. Drop and hook standard — most loads are drop and hook, quick turnaround when available. Live unloads 2-4 hours typically, but reports range wildly (55 minutes to 5+ hours). Check-in process — guard assigns dock door. Back in with door open, drop trailer, drive bobtail to receiving office (near door 185). Staff will direct you to dart yard to park bobtail and wait for call. Retrieving your empty trailer afterward can be chaotic — lot is congested with 1000+ trailers. No overnight parking — do not plan to sleep here. Lot conditions poor — back dirt lot where empties are stored has massive potholes, mud, standing water when wet. Drivers report getting stuck. Facility refuses assistance. Yard extremely congested — lot consistently over capacity, hard to find trailer spots or maneuver. Spotters present but yard jockeys pose safety hazard (watch for them). Guard house inconsistent — some report friendly/helpful; others report rude, unhelpful, or confrontational staff. New drivers may not get adequate guidance. No amenities — no food service during waits, limited restroom facilities for OTR trucks. GPS warning — Garmin directions often wrong. Use: I-270 exit 2, west on US-62 ~1 mile, turn right onto Southwest Blvd ~1 mile, truck entrance on right. Semi gate at second entrance driveway. Do not bobtail in or park on avenue (city police will remove you). Unloading speed unreliable — varies significantly. Some 55 minutes, others report 3-5 hours for partial loads. Poor coordination on receiving end reported. Staff attitude mixed — ranges from professional/friendly to disorganized/indifferent. Some locations under construction; verify current status. Flexibility possible — some reports of staff accommodating early arrivals without hassle, though not guaranteed.
Driver reviews
Stay away 4.5 hours to unload .
My boyfriend is a truck driver and i’m his passanger we came to this distribution April 26th, 2026. This place is unorganized, dirty, and unprofessional. The people at the gate are very useless and not even an ounce of helpful. A security male was being very rude and non welcoming. The ground was muddy, filled with a bunch of potholes so whenever you tried to pick up a trailer you were bound to get stuck. Keep in mind I said unorganized!! I’ve never been to a walmart distribution where everything was just all over the place like this one! The empties had no seals, Some trailers were just placed blocking the pathway and every trailer we tried to hookup to had potholes. You would think that the staff would be some type of help but it was almost as if they knew this would happen. -0/10!!!!
