Facility info
OPERATIONS Appointments: 6am start time (first-come, first-serve for 6am slots); receiving hours 6am-11am Monday-Friday only. Late arrivals after 11am will be turned away. Yard jockey assigns doors — wait for them to come to your truck before entering property. Drop and hook: Drop trailer at assigned door, unhitch, check in at office (door 15), return to waiting area. Facility calls when unload is complete. Unload times: Highly variable — 30 minutes to 2 hours at best; 4-6+ hours common, especially with lumper crews. Light loads and frozen food tend to take longer. Tuesday/Wednesday reported as particularly slow. Lumper fees: Flat rate $300-$860 depending on load size. Mandatory. Lumpers are the bottleneck for speed. Safety note: One report of icy dock conditions with no alternative offered despite sliding concerns. FACILITY EXPERIENCE Overnight parking: Conflicting information. Some say "no overnight parking"; others confirm parking available on roadside shoulder by entrance (with trash cans and port-a-potty). Pilot truck stop 10 miles away if needed. Yard/docks: Very tight backing — tight against railings, downhill approach, limited maneuverability. Requires precision. Yard jockey will back trailers for drivers uncomfortable with the tight space. Some drivers report yard staff assisting, others getting pushed to attempt multiple times. Staff attitude: Yard jockey consistently praised as friendly, helpful, professional. Office staff mostly positive but some reports of indifference. One report of spotter requesting cash payment for better service. Yard conditions: Tight, busy, hillside location. Limited space between doors. Signage visible but road unclear until you're in it. One report of poor snow/ice maintenance on dock surface. ISSUES Slow unloads despite appointments being honored in name only. Long wait times don't correlate with appointment times. Multiple reports of disrespect for driver schedules and detention impact. One report of trailer damage with facility refusing to pay or respond. One serious incident: facility driver hit parked car after slow unload; company response inadequate. Food handling concern: report of employee urinating near dock

Tight to back in a giant horse 🐎 shoes of a entrance you pull in at the top of the horse shoes it's all an implied one way wait in your truck until a yard jockey comes to you they check you in then you follow the top of the horse shoes as it's loops around and back down is where the docks are you take your paperwork with you there at door 15 you have to drop your trailer disconnect and loop back around at the top of the horseshoe and wait for the lady at the receiving office to call you to go get your trailer it's kind of all over the place but it works I guess seemingly long of a process but backing in is very tight that's why they have you drop the trailer some people linger which creates more of a cluster so don't linger drop your trailer turn in your paperwork and get out of that road so somebody else could get in there and maneuver on that tight road second time here and it's pretty much the same people lingering to pull out or sit in the driving path blocking your set up when you are done here pull to the exit after your domy and linger there don't block the flow of traffic inside the wearhouse and the jockeys seems willing to help if you can't back up
Totally nice plus stupid people
Had an 0600 appt yesterday morning, arrived at 0500. Jockey was helpful that was as far as it went.. Got my trailer cuz there’s no head room so they put it on the door for you. 1300 finally got the call my load was ready. They took all product off of my trailer when I had another stop. So had to park again until about 1700 and my next appt was for 1100. The condition they left what they put back on the trailer was unreal.. One pallet in the center right by the rear doors, no wrap or anything to secure product. Now I’m at second appt (got here at 2000 last night still waiting to get another appt) I’ve already lost my next load because of it. So thanks for the attention to details guys.
It don't matter what time you get here or where you sitting in the line that yard Jockie's going to pick who he wants to go in first. Appointments don't matter. And the docks are tight as hell. It's like backing in Brooklyn.
0 stars for me. I had a terrible experience with PFS in Knoxville. I arrived 8 am for 10 am appointment and they didn’t gave me door before 10: am after I was given a door they told me to drop my trailer at door 2 at 10 am, and it's now 2 : 30 pm and I’m still there. I was told they'd call me when they were done, but I haven't heard from them yet. I'm still waiting. With another load to deliver, I'm running behind schedule. Processing just eight pallets shouldn't take this long. The lack of communication and delays are really frustrating. Not what I expected.
