Save-A-Lot Distribution Center

Facility info

Appointments required — call ahead; can arrive up to 2 hours early; receiving open 7am-3pm, stop taking trucks at 2pm. Unload times all over the map — most reviews report 30 minutes to 2 hours; some report 4-6 hours, particularly on Fridays or with floor loads; facility acknowledges longer waits and suggests drivers use nearby truck stop/Walmart/Blue Beacon/Speedco during wait. Lumper fees — typically $50 or waived depending on load type; described as cheaper than other facilities. Check-in via kiosk — some drivers struggle with the machine; driver entrance by employee parking lot; check in before entering parking area. Staff — mostly friendly and professional; one consistent complaint about rude shipping office employee; receiving staff generally described as helpful and accommodating. No overnight parking — but FlyingJ truck stop within a mile; parking available in back of building (day parking only per most reviews). Bathrooms and vending machines available. Docking — tight spacing between doors but manageable; fast door assignment when arriving on time or early; red/green light system for backing in. Accessibility — easy off highway; nearby truck stops for services. Staffing issues noted — communication with dispatch helps when problems arise. Phone/website reportedly non-functional per at least one driver trying to schedule.
