WAIT TIMES Loading takes 4-10+ hours routinely. Many reports of 6-8 hour waits. Some drivers report 15-20 hour delays. A few report 1-2 hour turnarounds, but these are exceptions. Expect to lose significant clock time. Multiple reports of missing delivery appointments due to delays here. APPOINTMENTS & CHECK-IN Appointment-only facility. Cannot arrive more than 1-2 hours early—will be turned away. Must return for scheduled time. Check in at guard shack on Customer First Drive (GPS may not recognize exact address; try 105 Customer's First Drive, 662 Washburn Road, or 649 Washburn Switch Road, Shelby NC). Check-in process can be slow with long lines and paperwork. OPERATIONS Drop and hook setup. After check-in, drive to assigned door, drop trailer, unhook, and bobtail to staging area. Staff calls when loaded. Return to trailer, hook up, and proceed to office (near docks, left side) for paperwork/POD before leaving. Staging area can hold 30+ trucks during peak times. Dock availability inconsistent—may wait hours for door assignment. FACILITY No overnight parking. No overnight truck stop parking in immediate area. One porta-potty in staging area. Dusty/dirt parking lot. Plenty of room to maneuver and back. Facility is clean and organized. Nearby truck stops 10-15 miles away. STAFF Mixed reviews. Some report friendly, professional staff. Others report security/guards being dismissive or unhelpful. Dispatch communication inconsistent—drivers report being told "we don't know" when asking about load status. BOTTOM LINE Slow facility with unpredictable load times. Plan for extended wait. Only take loads if schedule allows buffer time.
