SCHEDULING & CHECK-IN Appointment required — don't be late. Early arrivals allowed to check in, but loading won't start until appointment time. Check-in process can be slow and disorganized (multiple check-in points, staff confusion on paperwork). Phone system frequently busy/disconnected — difficult to reach shipping department. LOADING OPERATIONS Live load. Highly variable speed — ranges from 45 minutes to 3+ hours. Most common: 1-2 hours. Staff will work with you to balance loads. Bring your own load locks/straps if you want faster service. Some loaders expect drivers to help place pallets for quicker turnaround. Forklift availability inconsistent — expect potential delays waiting for loader to arrive. Can be extremely cold waiting at dock. FACILITY & PARKING Day parking available 7am-22:00 M-F in lot. No overnight parking. Bathroom facilities: porta-potties (drivers note this negatively). Nearby amenities: Flying J and Love's 5 miles away (exit 113). Plenty of room to maneuver trucks/trailers. STAFF & ATMOSPHERE Generally friendly and helpful. Mix of attitudes — some staff polite and accommodating, others dismissive. Busy operation, especially Fridays. OTHER Drop-and-hook sometimes available but not always. Loads typically ready and paperwork squared away. Late fees applied. Facility will seal trailers. Bring proof of appointment number for smoother check-in.
