Americold Logistics Eagan

Facility info

Wait times wildly inconsistent — range from 40 minutes to 11+ hours. Many reports of 5-7 hour waits after appointment time. Don't count on early arrival speeding things up. Appointment scheduling largely ignored — facility frequently calls drivers hours early or loads well after scheduled time. Showing up early doesn't guarantee early dock access. Drop and hook available — can leave trailer after check-in and wait elsewhere, but stay within reasonable distance for dock calls. Check-in process — simple paperwork for pickups. Office opens around 7:30am. Some reports of staff manipulating check-in times to avoid paying detention. Overnight parking — available with decent lot size. Room to maneuver and stage trailers. Bathrooms inside facility — available but closed midnight to 7:30am per some reviews. Condition varies; described as both clean and filthy in different reports. Staff attitude mixed — office personnel consistently described as friendly and professional. Warehouse/dock workers described as both helpful and difficult depending on shift. Facility condition — large lot with adequate maneuvering space. Some reports of entrance odor. Parking along fence can complicate dock backing. Nearby amenities — Walmart, Post Office, restaurants within walking distance. Good cell service (Verizon/5G). Food delivery available 24/7. Reality check — typical understaffed Americold. Facility often runs 1+ hour behind consistently. Plan for extended wait regardless of appointment time.
