  On Monday I had called to see one of their mental health providers as I only wanted to see if a diagnosis from 2024 was correct when I went to a mental hospital. I have seen one of their providers in June of this year but due to personal circumstances I was unable to reschedule an appointment with that same provider and when I finally could my appointment first canceled under a misunderstanding. I got a call back from one of the receptionists who told me Dr. Cohens (the provider who would do my revaluation) and Dr. Derbick both said that they feel like they are unable to treat me. I asked the receptionist if there was a reason or did they leave it vague. I was told they left it vague but the receptionist said she would try to get an answer that was on Tuesday. Wednesday rolls around and I am told the same thing that those two still felt the same way, I asked for an answer to which once again, was NOTHING. I was then told another person would speak to me about this I was so hopeful that I’d be able to get an answer. Thursday, I got a call and explained my situation and why I wanted the appointment hoping I’d get some answers to only then be told “If you download the MyChart app you’ll be able to see what Cohens put down for you.” I will admit I did get upset and told the person over the phone I should not have to download an app for a simple request I told him if he could even give me just a hint I’d be happy with that. He kept using the words “Comfortable, comfortableness, and comfortability” I did ask if it was something that I did and he said “No I know it sounds like it is but just because a doctor is referring you to a different doctor doesn’t mean you’re worse than or less worse than anybody else” he even said how he himself wouldn’t use the word comfortable but kept using it anyways. If they didn’t want to treat me they could’ve just said so and gave me a reason and I’d be fine with that. I would not trust this hospital even for my physical care. I did call

  Wow where do we even start. My wife and I had our first baby named Reagan on 8/22/26 and we just had to write a review about our incredible experience. The night before, we made the call to the hospital wondering if it was time to come in, the moment Sierra picked up the phone she walked us through everything, made us feel comfortable, and guided us on the next steps to come in.<br><br>There are a lot of questions, concerns, worries, when having your first baby, and the whole staff of nurses could not have handled it better. They comforted my wife, held her hand through every step, answered all of our questions, and gave great guidance without being pushy about any decisions. They were perfect in every way. A few standout nurses that happened to be on shift and gave us exceptional service were Kerry, Sierra, Anna, and Courtney. By the time we left with our happy and healthy baby, they all felt like family to us. We didn’t even want to leave!! Doctor Gaida delivered the baby and we could not have felt like we were in better hands. Her confidence, ability to make you relaxed with her humor during tense situations, and execution when it got down to business was second to none.<br><br>I would put this whole staff up against any other as the best of the best. Thank you Door County Medical… and we will see you next time!

  From the moment is stepped in the door with security directing me to the receptionist I was treated with compassion,care and understanding. The nurse immediately took me to a room and hooked up to EKG, blood pressure monitoring and blood drawn. Dr Bourkland is such a sweet understanding compassionate person, nurse Jillie and Tanner were amazing and took great care of me. It wound up that I was anemic and I needed two units of blood which they were able to do there!!! I was amazed how such a small facility was able to provide me with what I needed for treatment right there ! Everyone I encountered was professional and very attentive!!! Beautiful facility and I can’t thank them enough for taking such good care of me. Special thanks to Jessie, Maddie, Beth and Clayton, you all are the very best!!!!

  Second time being denied care because the backwards small town power tripping nurses were too lazy to fix their schedules or have basic empathy. First when I was pregnant and now with my husband who possibly has hernia. Horrible. Never experienced anything like this and I have lived in 4 different states.
