Facility info

Operations Appointment system exists but highly unreliable—frequent delays 5-14+ hours past appointment time Mix of drop-and-hook (30 min turnarounds reported) and live loads (3-4+ hour process) Check-in at office window next to door #9, or with gate guard on second driveway Must have pickup/appointment number Call system notifies when load ready or papers prepared Scale 0.5-2 miles away at nearby TA truck stop Ice weight NOT included on BOLs despite being part of product Staging/trailer drop area available; note on paperwork if dropping trailer Some loads ready early, but early arrival doesn't guarantee early loading Facility Experience Overnight parking available and allowed with appointment Clean facility overall—multiple mentions of spotless grounds/restrooms, though one report of dirty bathroom Restrooms available for drivers with vending machines Ample backing/maneuvering space and lot capacity Staff attitude highly inconsistent: shipping office and morning crew praised as friendly/professional; security gate staff frequently criticized as rude, uninformed, or dismissive; one reception window employee reported as particularly unprofessional Odor issues noted during hot/humid conditions Stench from facility operations mentioned as unpleasant Restrictions on leaving premises until load complete Processing plant operation—product availability affects speed Practical Notes Bring food/snacks—minimal options onsite Use stoplight on inbound route Second driveway preferred for initial check-in with guard Drop trailers in open spots left of security gate if doing drop-and-hook Walmart 8 miles away Multiple shift changes can cause communication gaps Morning shift reportedly faster than evening/night shifts Loads don't always pay well relative to wait time
