Appointment required; show up on time for fastest service. Early arrivals risk long waits or gate closure. Drop and hook (lumpers unload). $200 lumper fee standard (some reports of $100). Payment by cash, check, debit accepted. Unload speed ranges wildly — 30 minutes to 3+ hours. Consistently fast when facility isn't backed up. Gate entry: press button at door if closed. Check-in at door #1, receive dock assignment. Overnight parking in dirt lot across street or street parking available, but requires someone on-site to open gate. Bathrooms available and clean. Friendly, respectful staff — will let you park and rest if asked. Route: I-94 exit 56B (south) or 57 (north) to 51st Street is safest. 51st has two 13'+ bridges — passable but tight. Avoid low-bridge routes via Kedzie/I-55. Residential area location. Ample yard space to maneuver. Sunday hours: closed until 3pm.

My experience this morning was just fine. Appointment was for 0600, arrived 0500. Pulled in through the gate, docks will be on your right. Drive in just little until you are beside docks 1-9, turn left and pull up straight all the way up to curb. Walked over shipping/receiving window, waited about 5min, until someone came to the window. Was instructed to back into dock 8, slid tandem to rear, LEAVE DOORS CLOSED AND SEAL INTACT, it will be opened from inside. He also informed me that lumper fee would be $100 and to bring payment to window on second green, do not move truck until signed bills are received. Plenty of room to back, it will likely be a little offset, however you can straightback and pull forward to move yourself over for straightback into door. Would've only taken an hour, but i fell asleep and Noone bothered me. Great job Amigos Meat! Very respectful and courteous to me and of my drive clock, greatly appreciated. I-55N to exit 286(Cicero) TLR or east to Lawndale TL or N to Archer TR (tight turn) or E to 51st st TL 2 blocks on left. Great place, easy check in, freezer pick a door 2 or 3, lumper fee with check, slide tandems, back in doors closed and wait for red to green pay lumper and check out! Eazy Pezy!! No overnight parking 🫤
Edit: I stayed overnight at the dirt lot this time, you need to 3 point turn into the dirt lot. Around 4am someone from amigos knocked on the door and asked for an appointment time and then told me to go ahead in. Maybe the route I took was a little tight but no low bridges and easy access off I-55. You can call them and they will give you directions to the facility however I decided not to ask so don't take my word for it. Coming from 55 West, I took Pulaski Rd southbound, then 47th St eastbound, then Lawndale Ave southbound, which puts you on 51st St to go eastbound and down. I’m not sure if the gate opened because I pressed the doorbell or if the pickup truck behind me used his beeper, but at 4:45 a.m. the gate didn’t open immediately. I sat on the bench by Door 1 until I checked in at 5 a.m. I did go nose-in to the staging area on the left, which I usually don’t do. However, there was so much space in the lot by the time I got my door assignment that it was easier to back into my door from there instead of having to pull out and set up. There’s a lot of space between doors, so it works—trust the process, I guess. Done unloading bills in hand at 7am. I didn’t need the dirt lot across the street, but it was empty when I arrived. Seems like a hidden gem in Chicago—unless it’s actively monitored, but I don’t know about that.
