OPERATIONS Appointment scheduling: Arrive 1 hour early for check-in. System outages occasionally delay processing. Drop and hook at separate Mitchell Transportation facility (past main gate, right at stop sign, immediate left over tracks to fifth driveway). Requires trailer inspection, empty drop to left, then bobtail back to guard shack for loaded trailer assignment. Live load at main shipping/receiving gate also available. Check-in can take 15+ minutes if load not in system. Wait times extremely variable: some reports of 1-2 hours, many reports of 4-14+ hours. Loads picked at arrival time, not pre-staged. Late arrivals back up entire queue. Safety vest required. Tandems must be backed before leaving guard shack on drop/hook loads. Scale on-site but only provides gross weight. Won't allow scaling loads over capacity (45,200 lbs+). Nearest public scale 2 hours away. Road approach: North route to shipping/receiving entrance on left (not employee entrance side). Cannot make left turn into receiving with tractor-trailer—requires circulation. FACILITY EXPERIENCE Overnight parking: Street parking available outside gates on both sides. Capacity varies by time. Restroom situation inconsistent. Main shipping office reportedly has clean bathroom. Drop yard at Mitchell's has only 1 porta potty for high volume. Many complaints about no restroom access during long waits. Free church-run rest area nearby (showers, laundry, TV, snacks, drinks). Walking distance or bobtail accessible. Community property—drivers requested to keep clean. Nearby amenities: Walmart across street, small truck stop across street, restaurants. Staff attitude highly inconsistent. Guard shack and check-in staff range from "outstanding" and "very pleasant" to "rude," "annoyed," "sarcastic," and "threatening." Drop yard attendants particularly cited for poor customer service and attitude. Multiple complaints about staff on phones/social media while working. Yard conditions: Mud lot at Mitchell's noted as muddy. Main facility traffic congested during peak times. Difficult maneuvering for tight turns. No detention pay for excessive waits despite company acknowledgment of "normal

Worst company ever. Never come here. They treat drivers like animals. The staff is rude and arrogant, constantly arguing with drivers. They will leave you waiting for hours without any explanation. They even threaten to call the police to have you removed from the property. The guy at the gate is especially unpleasant—he threatens, insults, and treats drivers like cattle. A terrible experience and a complete lack of respect for people who are simply doing their job.
