CRACKER BARREL - OVEN BAKED MACARONI & CHEESE/ SHARP CHEDDAR WHITE (UPC No: 21000 06507).<br><br>My 1st time trying this(12. 3 oz) DRY Macaroni product. In my opinion it's a bad idea. Over-priced, over-salted, requires BOTH on top of stove pasta cooking, then once pasta is boiled, this product requires further oven baking. NOT CONVENIENT PRODUCT @ ALL! Then after all the stove top cooking & in oven baking & adding (2) over- salted toppings of bread crumbs & seasoning packets which adds MORE SALT to the mix.<br>Unlike it's competitor's orange (ALSO, OVER SALTED!!!) cheese & macaroni product there is barely any CRACKER BARREL cheddar sauce @ all, despite it's in box FAT packet. Even after adding thick slab of UNSALTED butter there was no improvement in taste or sauce thickness/quality or even amount of sauce on this macaroni.<br><br>This is another USA out of touch - "Corporate banking" on a long tradition of great cheeses but with no REAL reason for this mess to exist. With its very dry sauce packet, too much salted toppings, dry & powdery (barely there) cheese taste & intense expense.<br><br>NOT really a product that I would buy again.
Kraft Heinz makes a great instant pudding under their JELL-O brand label. Butterscotch is one of our favorites for the taste, consistency and the ease. Put 2 cups cold milk (I used 1%) in a bowl, add the powder and whisk for 2 minutes to thicken. Pour into 4 individual servings and add your own topping, or leave in the bowl and serve it at will. Their chocolate is also wicked good too, when topped w chopped walnuts.
