Facility info
Appointment scheduling: Required but load often not ready by deadline—expect 24–46+ hour waits past drop-dead times. Communications nightmare: Facility won't call when load is ready. You must call repeatedly. Phones frequently go unanswered; when answered, staff hangs up mid-sentence without looking up load status. Drop and hook: Standard procedure. Drop empty, wait elsewhere (Loves/Pilot/Flying J nearby—1–2 miles away), call to check status, return when supposedly ready. Washout mandatory: On-site facility required even for clean trailers. Cost ~$62 (debit/card only). Have receipt ready for check-out. Staff may not use your load locks—bring spares or expect theft. Guard shack staff: Highly inconsistent. Some report friendly, professional interactions; many report rude, dismissive, disrespectful behavior—especially some evening-shift personnel. Staff frequently joking around/distracted instead of working. Won't take your callback number. Check-in/out: Reasonably fast when load is ready. Scale weighing required—swing wide entering and exiting. No axle weights provided. Staff may input incorrect seal numbers on BOLs, requiring corrections. Yard conditions: Dirt lot, tight trailer spacing (trailers sometimes 4 inches apart), difficult backing. Recent construction adds congestion. Yard drivers have language barriers. Wait times: Consistently 24–48 hours minimum past appointment time. No notification system. Overbooked facility. Temperature/quality issues: Reported temperature monitor discrepancies and poorly loaded trailers with gaps, minimal bracing, and insufficient shrink wrap. Rising reject rates. No overnight parking on-site: Must use nearby truck stops. Reefer requirement: Must be at least 3/4 full of fuel to load. Documentation: Prepare for rigorous check-out paperwork requests (registration, license, etc.).
Driver reviews
First time eating a CarGill anything but a 5 star. Everything was fine with arrival and picking up my sealed trailer. When I arrived at my customer and found my load locks were neither used nor in my trailer I was a bit upset $120 to replace them. Now on to the unbelievably poor job of loading. I’ll post a pic of what I saw when I opened the doors. As rejects are increasing these days and people are blaming the drivers. This is an example of why rejects are increasing these I see this type of rushed loading with no care at all about what will happen to the product on the other side. This gap ran straight down the center. Some pallets had air on both sides. Little to no shrink wrap and absolutely no attempt to brace with anything.
More than 40 hours waiting the phone number you call always it’s the same answer not ready and the last time the hang up on my face don’t drop here
Yes, almost 39 hrs and still waiting… load not ready. More than 24hrs past DDT
Super easy. Barely an inconvenience to drop and hook at this facility.
Easy in and out. Truck stop across the street.
