Interstate Cold Storage - Fort Wayne East

Facility info

Drop and hook operation — live load only, docks available Appointment scheduling strictly enforced — $250 penalty for no-shows; arrive on time, not early Load times highly variable — mostly 1–1.5 hours, but can stretch 2+ hours depending on staffing; pulling orders during load slows things down Staff friendly overall — phone reception can be snippy, but loaders consistently praised Parking shoulder on left side of road across from office; don't block dock approach area No overnight parking or driver facilities — porta potty only, building closed to drivers; call number on door to check in Pre-cool your reefer before arrival — critical for temp-sensitive loads GPS unreliable in area — use local directions, watch for train switchyard next door and guardrail Easy backing — straightforward dock geometry if you don't block approach; turnaround available at abandoned warehouse nearby
