LG CANADA: Nice stove...$1900...only problem was I didn't ask whether it had an oven element, after all, all stoves have them! Stoves are now built with oven (lower) element under the oven floor so you don't see it and assume the oven has an oven element. All ovens are made with a broil element, oven element and small convection element. This oven surprisingly doesn't have an oven element. After a couple years of oven not working properly a smart technician discovered oven didn't have this element. With oven temp sometimes 30 degrees too high or 40 degrees too low, inconsistent temp, and each oven use a different experience, baking has become chaos/frustration. Oven element crucial to reach and maintain temp. Five on site attempts to repair but missing element means oven will never work properly. LG response to extended warranty company...oven works as designed and it has no issues. Really??? Without the oven element many oven functions don't work. Yes a company can make a design or manufacturing mistake but when a multi billion dollar company won't accept responsibility then they have lost their reputation. I expect others have never found out why their oven wasn't working properly, LG wouldn't acknowledge problem and so in frustration they would spend more money for a new stove. Lesson..when buying stove..ask the stupid question of whether it has an oven element or just buy another brand that doesn't make an oven element a option that they didn't disclose. See Rona review for info regarding their sale of this stove and sale of extended warranty protection which was invalid because pre-existing design problems not covered.
Very bad experience with NFI warehouse staff specially girl who work in the dispatch office .
