Boars Head

Facility info

OPERATIONS Drop and hook facility — unload trailer at dock, bobtail out. Can drop trailer up to 10-12 hours before appointment. Appointments required. Check in at security gate first — must show ID and slide tandems all the way back. Reefer fuel tank must be 3/4 full minimum or you won't be allowed in. Gate staff will assign parking spot for dropped trailer; take paperwork to shipping office after drop. They'll call when unload is complete. Unload times highly variable — can be 1-4 hours or significantly longer depending on dock availability and queue. Multiple reports of 5+ hour waits despite on-time arrival. FACILITY EXPERIENCE Overnight bobtail parking available on-site but lot is tight — often fills early. Love's truck stop 1 mile away has more bobtail parking and easier availability. Sheetz truck stop also nearby. Staging area available to wait/sleep if needed. Bathroom and vending available. No overnight parking in trucks. Security gate staff generally friendly and professional, though night shift guard issues reported in multiple reviews. Check-in office staff consistently described as professional, helpful, and nice. Yard spotters move trailers in/out. Well-organized, clean facility. Facility provides food discounts. Nothing within walking distance for food. Bring padlock — broker will be charged $50 if you don't have one. Docks on right side only. Trailer damage during yard movement reported — owner operators should inspect carefully. Staff attitude mixed — office and day shift generally positive; security personnel have received complaints about rudeness and unprofessionalism from some drivers.
