Facility info
Appointment scheduling completely ignored. Mega carriers (CR England, Warner) prioritized; others sit for hours. Arrive early — doesn't matter. GPS directs to wrong entrance (use 3785 Channel Dr, West Sacramento); even 1 minute late gets flagged and deprioritized. Extreme wait times the norm. 4–9 hours common. Some done in 1–1.5 hours if you're the right carrier. Paperwork delays worst offender — can add 2–6 hours alone. Load must have seal/padlock. Rejected outright if missing. Guards will demand 24-hour reefer temperature logs if seal wasn't on trailer at check-in. Check-in procedure sketchy. Multiple reports of guards recording incorrect arrival times, then claiming "late" to justify further delays. Guards admit errors but can't change written times. No direct phone contact — must go through guard shack only. Lumper fees unusually high — $400–$460 reported. Some loads waived fees, most didn't. Overnight parking available. Staging area on property; street parking also option. Porta-potty on site (reported filthy by some, adequate by others). No food except occasional food truck. Cell reception good. Staff attitude wildly inconsistent. Some drivers praise guards and unloaders as "nicest guys" and "professional." Others report rude, dismissive staff who won't engage with drivers directly. Capstone workers specifically called out as obnoxious. Unload speed varies drastically. 20 minutes to 1.5 hours when actually at dock. But getting the dock is the real bottleneck — can wait 3–5+ hours before being assigned one.

I needed decorations, disposable cups, and napkins for a last-minute birthday party. Dollar General had everything I needed in fun colors and designs. The decorations looked great, the cups and napkins held up perfectly, and the total cost was shockingly low. For quick, affordable party supplies, the quality and value can’t be beat.
Not opened to public as previously mentioned.
You pull up to the guard shack-they will tell you to go park and walk back 🤯 Make sure you have a seal or padlock 🔒 ON the trailer BEFORE you pull up to the guard shack otherwise your load will be rejected. Had one drop before Dollar General in Sacramento and did not have another seal for my load. Guard shack made me send them 24 hours of my trailer temperature logs in order to get accepted. Unnecessary nonsense.
I like the Dollar General because it’s simple and efficient. The store focuses on the items people actually need every day. Prices are fair and the aisles are clearly arranged, which makes quick shopping easy.
I visited the Dollar General for a quick run for household items. What I liked most was how fast everything was. The shelves were stocked, the store was clean, and checkout was quick. It’s the kind of place where you can stop in for ten minutes and leave with all the basics you needed.
