Grainger Distribution Center

Facility info

Operations Drop and hook available; live delivery restricted 10am–3pm only. Requires appointment/90-minute notice for some services. Check-in procedures unclear — some staff knowledgeable, others confused. Wait times variable: 45 minutes reported in at least one instance. Trailer turnaround Major issue: trailers not unloaded on promised timelines. Multiple reports of 4–14 day delays on supposedly 2–3 day drops. This is the facility's biggest weakness based on driver feedback. Facility experience Parking: tight backing areas, but recent improvements added concrete pads and extra spaces. Overnight parking prohibited — police called on drivers who stay. Muddy conditions historically problematic but reportedly improved. Bathrooms not mentioned. Staff attitudes mixed: some genuinely helpful and professional; others dismissive or confrontational at gates/security. Confusion between shipping and security departments noted. Other notes Facility appears to be Grainger location. 24-hour access for loaded boxes noted. Navigation/gate directions problematic — verify entrance beforehand. Backup space tight; use Google satellite view. Recent facility upgrades mentioned positively by some drivers.
