Nestle Purina - Mechanicsburg, PA
6373 Brackbill Blvd, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050
Facility info
Live load waits routinely 4–10+ hours; appointments largely ignored. Drop and hook somewhat faster but yard is tight and cramped. Overnight parking not permitted (facility claims 6am–10pm hours, though some reports of off-hours access). Check-in procedure straightforward but you'll wait for door assignment. Communication poor—staff won't update status; told to watch for green light at office. Facility often unprepared with product, forcing extended holds. Grain haulers report particular frustration. Heavy loads common; some trailers preloaded incorrectly (overweight). Yard congestion makes maneuvering difficult; trailers too close together, making drop difficult. Security guard attitudes mixed—some friendly, some rude. Facility itself clean. Strong smell from production permeates surrounding area. No real detention policy communicated upfront. A few drivers report quick in-and-out (under 2 hours), mostly anomalies. Plan for extended downtime.

Avoid Alert!!! You'll be sitting here for a loooooong time, no respect for drivers or appointment, so don't work with them!!!
Waited hours to get unloaded
Came here at 6:45 am with a load of corn and as I’m typing this (8:05pm) I’m still waiting to get unloaded first and last time I’ll be here
Slow Very Slow 6 hours
Silver Spring to Brackbill Rd – first entrance. You’ll likely do everything from the main entrance, but you may be directed to drop your empty at their second lot up the road. If that happens: at the first lot where you already pulled in, do a U-turn, take a right out of the entrance you came in, then take your second right. Avoid the employee-only entrance — trust me, it’s a pain to back out (speaking from experience 😅). Staff is mostly friendly. Important tip: if you're dropping and hooking, make sure you have the exact MT (empty) trailer number you're bringing.
