Facility info

Appointment required — strict about appointment times, won't take you early even 1 hour. Some reports of getting doors before appointment if you arrive 30+ min early, but not guaranteed. Check-in via intercom at gate — can be slow, one truck at a time due to tight docking space. Unload times all over the map — ranges from 30 minutes to 3+ hours. Most reports 1-2 hours including paperwork. Paperwork processing often slower than actual unload. Tight docking — alley dock recommended, watch rear axle not rear of box. Doable but requires setup. One door available at a time. Street parking only — overnight parking available on surrounding streets (Grant Line Road, East Paradise, side streets). Some reports of 23+ hours parked outside. Lumper fees high — $40-$250+ depending on load type. Payment collected on site by lumper service. Bathroom situation poor — porta potty outside, repeatedly reported as filthy, overflowing, no toilet paper. Not acceptable. No indoor bathroom access granted. Staff attitude inconsistent — some reports of friendly, professional, respectful staff. Others report rude, impatient, angry gate workers. Receiving department attitude varies. Navigation difficult — ignore GPS suggested routes. Enter on East Paradise (not Chabot), use North MacArthur from I-205. Grant Line Road has no-truck zones. Facility condition — newer facility, generally clean. Yard gets congested when full. Comdata checks — facility prefers their number over driver's paper check.

DO NOT go in the gate if it’s open. FIRST hit the gate button in the intercom and the lady or man will ask you for your po number. Then they will tell you what door you have. Back into door first before going to the main door (located by the exit gate and ramp) to hand in paperwork. They will call you once your paperwork is done. On the paperwork, write your door number and telephone number. They are usually pretty fast especially if you have a 0600 early delivery. Bathroom is a porta potty. The joys of being a truck driver. We get the shit bin. Bring extra toilet paper and sanitizer.

Not sure what all the other reviews are about. My experience was really great last night. Got a door right away got unloaded right away received my paperwork was out of there within an hour and maybe 20 minutes.

Take MacArthur to grant line, left on grant line and a mile to paradise and turn right. First driveway on the left. It is also an exit for Chep pallet, stay to the right. Call box b4 gate. No overnight parking, no place to sit if more than about 30 minutes early. Given a door at the gate. They are fast and polite. Porta pooper only, nice delivery overall.

The entrance to this place is not marked very well. It’s a one way in, one way out place. The entrance is on the west side in the middle of the building. The speaker was made for cars, and about 3 feet off the ground. It’s also not very loud. I arrived an hour early for my appointment and they put me in a door. There is enough room to maneuver and get in a door, it’s a little tight. Took about 3 hrs to get me unloaded.
