Facility info
OPERATIONS Appointment-based but inconsistently enforced—some drivers taken early, others turned away for arriving before appointment time Check-in happens at guard shack on street; process highly variable (30 min to 3+ hrs just to reach gate) Receiving typically starts 6-7 PM, first-come-first-serve within appointment window Live unload only; process takes 3-7+ hours per trailer Lumper fee through Capstone ($270-$450 range reported); payment required before paperwork released Gate pass system: remove seal, get plastic envelope, back to dock, leave envelope in trailer Do not approach guard shack until 30-60 min before appointment or you may be sent away FACILITY EXPERIENCE Street parking on both sides available before/after; approximately 10-15 truck capacity No driver restrooms—portable toilets reported as clean on one visit, absent on others Security/guard shack staff attitudes mixed; some described as friendly/professional, others as dismissive or unhelpful Receiving/unloading staff generally professional but slow No staging area or lot parking One positive note: staff handled tornado emergency professionally and with care REALITIES Highly unpredictable—experience appears to be a coin toss regardless of arrival time Long street lines common; trucks wrap around building Paperwork takes 1-3 hours after unload completes Inconsistent prioritization; some loads moved quickly, others delayed for no clear reason Poor cell reception near facility Line management chaotic; drivers report others cutting in Multiple drivers report 8-14+ hour total times (check-in through paperwork) Staff inconsistencies: same process not followed uniformly, missed details during check-in (POs, seals)

McLane Foods need I say more
Arrived 15 minutes before my appointment and was immediately given a door. 7 hours later they're still not finished unloading. It's Capstone so it shouldn't be a surprise. Capstone sucks...

Check in before you get to the gate; a guy who looks like Santa Claus—and is rude and hates his job—will ask you for the same information. He’ll hand you a folder containing your BOL; just go to the gate, leave the folder inside the trailer (at the back), and that’s it.
Need to teach your drivers how to drive. About took out 3 cars trying to pass, luckily they ditch dove in time. He didn’t even slow down. Irresponsible and idiotic.
