Facility info

OPERATIONS Appointment-based only. DO NOT show up early — guard shack operates 9 PM to 4 AM. Check in at guard shack 9 PM regardless of appointment time; they'll call you when dock available. Live unload. Unloading typically 30 minutes to several hours depending on load size and facility workload. Drop trailer at assigned dock, walk paperwork to office (door 35), receive lumper fee payment link via text. Gate at front doesn't open — use southeast corner entrance/guard shack only. Expect 1-10+ hours total time on-site (check-in to paperwork completion). Most complaints center on 4-9 hour waits for paperwork after unloading. Paperwork delays common — receiving office slow to process. Request detention slip if waiting excessively; brokers won't pay detention without it. Staff may resist issuing slip. Verify your phone number is recorded correctly at check-in — multiple reports of staff writing wrong numbers, missing payment link texts. FACILITY EXPERIENCE No on-site parking. Must park on street in travel lanes (illegal but tolerated). Police actively ticket 3-7 AM. Some drivers report getting ticketed; others report police ignore trucks. Risk varies. Overnight parking available on street only. Bathrooms: not mentioned in reviews. Staff attitude: Mixed. Guard shack staff consistently praised as helpful and efficient. Receiving office staff reported as slow, dismissive, sometimes rude. Lumper company (CAPSTONE) cited for poor attitude and phone distraction. Yard/dock conditions: Very tight backing spaces. Heavy congestion (100+ trucks reported). Narrow pathways. Poor cell service at docks — communication via text. High traffic volume and congestion make maneuvering difficult, especially during shift changes.

The check-in process was unprofessional. The security guards had a strong odor of what smelled like marijuana, and one of them was on speakerphone with what appeared to be his girlfriend while checking drivers in. It gave the impression that drivers and customers weren’t being taken seriously. I hope management addresses the professionalism of the security staff.
