Kenco - Temple
4040 Logistics Way, Temple, TX 76501
Operator: Kenco
Facility info
Navigation Building behind Buccee's on eastern side. Multiple confusing right turns to reach facility — 5th right turn is correct route. GPS: 31.1353600, -97.3234130. Poor signage throughout facility. Use intercom at southeast gate near Reynolds sign for entry. Check in/shipping office between dock doors 107-108 on east side of building. Operations Appointment-only facility. Strict appointment adherence — early arrivals turned away with no grace period. Drop and hook standard — swap loaded trailer for empty. Check in requires: name, BOL number, carrier name, truck number, incoming trailer number. Live loading available but slow (6-8+ hours reported). Quick turnarounds also reported (1 hour). Process varies by day/shift. Open 24/7 Monday-Friday, closed weekends. Load must be food-grade rated trailer (no holes, dry, clean, no odors). Must have straps to secure load. Facility Experience NO overnight parking onsite for OTR drivers. Limited street parking nearby. Nearby options: CEFCO 0.6 miles, Texstar 3 miles, QuikTrip 3.4 miles, Loves 5 miles. Bathrooms available in shipping/receiving office. Staff generally friendly and efficient. Gated facility. Poor lighting. Adequate maneuvering space but tight. Pets allowed. Issues Long wait times unpredictable — some loads take 8+ hours, others under an hour. No clear reason for delays. Confusing entrance due to shared building with other companies. Restrictive appointment policy with no flexibility. Missing signage creates confusion finding check-in and shipping office.

No Overnight Parking. CEFCO Travel Center 0.6 miles away, Texstar Travel Center/Paid Parking 3 miles away, QuikTrip 3.4 miles away, Loves 5 miles away.

I arrived at 11:40am for my 7am-11:55pm appointment. When you enter this place, hang to the left, continue all the way straight and go to the backside. (Follow the sign that says “Driver Check In”)Press the intercom button, gate will open, drive over to Dock 108 & 107. In between is the shipping office, I checked in with office, they wrote down the “Lot Number” where I’ll drop my empty and where I found my loaded trailer. Also gave me the bills. Dropped my empty, attached to my loaded trailer, went back to gate, I was out.

Simple in and out process. The only issue I had with this place is that they need to put a sign on door saying “Shipping Office” or “Driver Check In”. You had drivers like me and others walking around here confused looking for office.
I wanted to share my experience with this company. Their appointment system is very restrictive. My appointment was at 7 p.m., but I arrived at 5:50p.m., and they wouldn’t let me check in early. I was told to come back later, and if I leave here and go to a truck stop and come back, it’s a 20-mile drive each way—so, 40 miles total. Also, the entrance is confusing because there’s another company in the same building, so it’s hard to find the correct entrance. Unlike other companies that allow a two-hour window, they do not. Just a heads-up to others so you don’t face the same issue.
