Come here on appointment time.
Oh Douglasville Gordon’s. I have a question, and I need you to really sit with it: Why do you have a phone number… that connects to absolutely nothing? Not a person. Not a system. Not even a confused intern eating breakfast in the back. Nothing. Just a number that rings long enough to give you hope and then politely tells you to call back later, like I’ve just missed the last train out of sanity. Later when? After the apocalypse? After my funeral? After the meat I am delivering has emotionally processed its own existence? I have been here since before my 5:00 AM appointment. Calling. Re-calling. Redialing like a man trying to reach God through a landline. It is now after 5:00 AM. No answer. And here’s the part where it becomes performance art: If I don’t check in, I’m late. So I am physically here. On time. In your parking lot. With a trailer full of your sliced, processed, beautifully over-handled animal remains — And yet I do not exist. Because I cannot get past… the phone. The phone is the gatekeeper. The phone is the bouncer. The phone is the final boss in a game no one explained. Inside that building, I can see life. Lights on. Movement. Activity. Civilization. But the phone? The phone is a lie. This is not a check-in system. This is a psychological experiment. How long will a grown man stand in a parking lot calling the same number before he begins to question reality, society, and whether any of this is real? Because I am getting close. Very close. All I wanted — all I asked for — was a door and maybe a nap after driving all night to bring you your curated meat selection like some kind of exhausted deli Santa. Instead, I got silence. Endless, deliberate, spiritually aggressive silence. So now I’m standing here, fully awake, fully annoyed, and fully aware that somewhere inside that building, people are choosing — actively choosing — to let the phone ring. And that tells me everything I need to know. ⸻ 🐾 JOJO’S REVIEW 🐾 “I do not
Call the number on the sign to check in. They will call you with a door. Unload fairly quick. O/n parking.
The company does not train the drivers on placement of their product in storage places. Not in dry storage, in coolers and freezers. They place boxes haphazardly. Creating hazards in these areas.
