AVOID AT ALL COSTS - Loading Appointment: 1800 Arrival: 1745 Docked: 1758 Loaded: 0115... after arriving 15 minutes early, checking in (via kiosk system), and parking on the right side (after entering the gate), I received a text; the text (shown in attached screenshot) claimed my appointment was for 1pm. curiously enough, I wasn't able to get this load until after 4pm... so shearers screwed me off the start. I was in a dock within 15 minutes of being there, but didn't get the red light for around 1.5 hours. After 3 hours of barely any loading movement, I called the office via their number; asked what was up. the reply - albeit friendly - was not expected; "you arrived late, so you are a work-in" "we are tracking the freight for the load, which is taking some extra time" "we don't have an ETA on when we can load you, and since you were late we will try to get you out as soon as we can" After waiting until midnight, I gave them another call, and their phone responded with "that extension is not available" as if they stopped deciding to answer phone calls. I didn't get my paperwork until 1:25AM. it took them 7+ hours to load half a trailer. OTR Trucks came in and out, both before and after my arrival, and some even staying for multiple hours as well (4-5+). This load was due for 1900 the next day, had to get it pushed out to 0900 the day after because of their incompetency. PARKING: (see screenshots) there is LIMITED parking outside of shearers, 3 secure spots at most, and shearers doesn't allow overnight despite having plenty of room. RANT: If you claim a load is ready at 1pm, don't advertise it as 6pm. Also, if the appt time was REALLY at 1pm, why are we "searching for freight" 9 HOURS AFTER AT 2215?? CAN the people that run this place, they have absolutely no respect for for your time. the delivery location was ANOTHER SHEARERS, and that review won't be any better, it seems shearers hire only incompetent people.
Worst ever....3 hourse on the dock and they say we dont have load for you today,its for tommorow....other truckers wait for hourse...dont come here guy's
Place is a joke. They can’t keep up with the trucks coming in. Guys have been here all day. I’m only at 5 hours as of now, but I haven’t got much further than the gate. They just say they are busy. These places should be shut down or fined heavily.
