Facility info
Unloading speed: Highly inconsistent. Reports range from 15-30 minutes to 5+ hours. Most common experience seems to be 1-2 hours, but some loads take significantly longer. Bread deliveries and larger loads appear slower. Appointments: Generally honored when you make it to the dock. However, expect significant delays at guard shack check-in, especially during busy times (can add 1-3 hours before you even get assigned a door). Lumper service: Merit Lumper handles unloading. Fees range $65-$250 depending on load size. Pay by phone link sent during unloading. Some drivers find fees reasonable, others call them pricey. Check-in: Must check in at guard shack first. Early arrival okay but warehouse doesn't open until 0200. Multiple trucks queuing at guard shack during peak hours. Once checked in, you get your door assignment and go directly to dock. Dock operations: Tight backing. Drop and hook (you stay in truck). Paperwork handled by staff outside and brought to you. Overnight parking: None on-site or street parking. Nearest options are One9 and QT 2 miles away (limited parking) or Flying J 10 miles south on I-77. Bathrooms: Clean facilities available. Staff/Security: Security guard at gate consistently praised as helpful and professional. Warehouse staff generally friendly and professional. One report of rude morning shift guard (specific date mentioned, may have been isolated incident). One report of staff dishonesty regarding timestamps. Pay attention to: Check your billing for accurate in/out times. GPS directions to facility can be problematic. Tight dock spacing but manageable.

Quick and efficient. 12 pallets unloaded within 30 mins. Lumper paid. Paperwork in hand. I'm out ✌🏽
I arrived at around 10p and was told to come back after 12 midnight. Came back at 1a had to wait in line at the guard (they were several trucks lining the fence ahead of me) until the security guard came back to give me what door I was going to be a assigned to. I docked took the sheet I was given by the SG to the receiving office (it is a little tight you have to park next to a truck but they do a good job of spacing you out when they can; I docked next to a trailer on my left and two open spaces on my right so it was easy). I slept through my lumper fee text so the lady in the office called me to get that paid. My appt was at 5a. I was unloaded by 3:30 and was in the dock by 2:30. Warehouse opens at 2a. The two different black guys at office and the black women in the office were all very pleasant and clearly communicated everything that I needed to do. This is one of the first food service warehouses I would love to come back to. Also they have clean bathrooms.
My appointment was at 3 am and I got check in and went to the shipping and receiving. No big deal. And I've been here over 4 hours to get unloaded of bread that's going to Cracker Barrel here at PFG in Rock Hill, SC. Well I'm not coming back here once I get unloaded and I'm going to tell my dispatcher that to.
